{"id":20625,"date":"2026-09-14T12:16:34","date_gmt":"2026-09-14T10:16:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.tezdev.cilfa.fr\/cilfa-students-get-up-close-and-personal-with-robots\/"},"modified":"2026-09-21T07:51:38","modified_gmt":"2026-09-21T05:51:38","slug":"cilfa-students-get-up-close-and-personal-with-robots","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.tezdev.cilfa.fr\/en\/cilfa-students-get-up-close-and-personal-with-robots\/","title":{"rendered":"CILFA Students Get Up Close and Personal with Robots!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Yesterday, a group of students from CILFA visited the Robo sapiens &#038; Cie, a space to understand and reflect on the role ofrobots in our daily lives.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The educational activity began with a casual get-together at a caf\u00e9 in Cran Gevrier, a town located right next to Annecy, home to the \u201cLa Turbine\u201d cultural center. The students discussed with their teacher (in French as a Foreign Language, of course) the role of robots in their personal lives: Do they use them at home? Are there many of them in their countries? <\/p>\n<p>The group then went to the &#8220;Robo sapiens &#038; Cie&#8221; area at La Turbine, where a guide welcomed the students as well as a few children and adults who had signed up for the tour.<\/p>\n<p>After a brief presentation, the group got to work building robots out of Legos. Once the creators had presented their robots, the participants moved to a large room where they were able to interact with a \u201cGoogle Home\u201d voice assistant, among other things. For many, this was their first time experiencing this voice-controlled speaker, which is quite impressive. It can be very useful for French classes because you can ask it to translate words, and it responds instantly!   <\/p>\n<p>The visit ended with the creation of robots made from multifunctional cubes. The students came up with various robots, and the results were impressive! <\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The &#8220;La Turbine&#8221; cultural center consists of three sections: a media library, a science section, and a movie theater. CILFA students visit it regularly as part of their educational activities because the programming there is very interesting: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.laturbine.fr\/\" target=\"_blank\"
