Living in Annecy
I loved Annecy from the moment I arrived. For me, this town has everything I really love: the lake, the mountains and a beautiful town centre. […] I’d really love to be able to come back to Annecy for many summers (and winters!). It’s a wonderful town – particularly the water sports, the food and the friendly people – and I’m sure future CILFA students will love it too!

Annecy is a very peaceful town surrounded by nature, so you can easily […] focus on learning French. What’s more, it offers plenty of activities and sports, so you’ll have a good balance between your studies and your leisure time. In my opinion, life in Annecy is very pleasant and I’d recommend living here.

When I saw Annecy, I realized that this city was the right place for me. I chose it because it is truly beautiful […] with a lovely lake where you can swim and have a picnic. […] Annecy is located near Geneva [in Switzerland], which has a major airport. For me, this is very important because I often have to travel to Moscow and other countries.
Olesya, Russia
[For me], Annecy is a more charming town […] and one that reveals many different sides to it in summer. There are loads of things to do and we’re surrounded by nature. […] During August, I was quite busy at the weekends because it’s really easy to visit several places within a 30-minute drive. […] Then there are lots of major cities nearby. It’s handy to fly from Geneva […] or to visit museums or good restaurants.
Personally, I think it’s important to choose accommodation in Annecy town centre so that everything is within easy reach and you can get about much more efficiently without a car. […] I often pop into the old town to do some shopping in the morning or spend some time at the cinema. Even at night, I can walk home without any trouble.
