On Monday, August 7, about 30 students went up to the Semnoz station for a big Savoyard picnic (local cheeses, cold cuts, baguettes, wines, and fruit juices from Savoie, etc.) with a breathtaking view of Mont Blanc.
Under a sunny sky, they then went to an alpine farm where Jean-François explained the different steps involved in making cheese. Many students bought cheese and yogurt directly from the producer. The afternoon ended with a summer toboggan ride, which the group thoroughly enjoyed.
