The training course for instructors of FLE
From July 1 to 12, 2019, CILFA is offering a summer training course for trainers for teachers and future teachers of French as a foreign language (FLE).
Participants can choose between two options: 34 hours or 44 hours, with general French classes in the morning, themed modules in the afternoon, and cultural activities.
Thanks to this training course for FLE instructors, the trainees will be able to:
- improve and update their knowledge of the language and of French culture,
- discover and share new teaching practices in the classroom,
- share and reflect on their experiences as teachers and learners.
How does this internship work?
Throughout the training program, trainees participate in twenty-four hours of language development sessions in the morning. These classes are also linked to the afternoon modules and encourage reflection through questionnaires on classroom practices, which place the trainee in the role of both learner and observer.
The afternoon thematic workshops provide an opportunity to delve deeper into the reflection initiated regarding the various classroom practices observed or proposed. Group work and the sharing of experiences are prioritized in these workshops.
The goal is to provide tools that can be reused in the classroom, tailored to the audience and the grade level being taught.

- Creativity and an Action-Oriented Approach: The Final Project in FLE Class
- Activities to start the class for FLE held off-campus
- The theory of multiple intelligences
- Using Songs in French as a Foreign Language (FLE) Classes
