The traditional “Cuisines du Monde” evening took place last week at CILFA. Here’s a look back at this important event in our school’s life.
“Cuisines of the World”—what is that?
Come share a traditional dish from your country at the CILFA World Cuisines event!
Among the various activities offered by the Annecy International Center for the French Language, the “Cuisines of the World” evening is always a huge hit! A truly enjoyable social event, this gathering combines French language practice, culinary discoveries, and good cheer.
The idea is simple: each student and each teacher brings a traditional dish from their country to introduce and share with the rest of the guests.

For this edition, we had the chance to sample many dishes from Italy, Russia, Japan, Spain, Cambodia, Switzerland, Iran, India, Brazil, Mexico, Colombia, and France.
For the first time, this evening also provided an opportunity to discover traditional French songs, with a performance by Salvatore on guitar.
As always, thanks to the hard work of the students and the CILFA team, the shared dishes were delicious and everyone was in high spirits! It was a memorable evening—thank you to everyone, and see you soon for the next World Cuisine Night at CILFA!
